Click here to see a large version

- now select the folder where you want to save your subtiltes.

* you can select a subtitle of particular language and remove it by clicking on '<--' button.

- Click 'OK' and it will save subtitles in SUB format

Part 2 : Extracting subtitles from DVD in SRT format

Application Needed: SubRip - Download from HERE

- Download SubRip from above location and extract zip file.
- Open SubRip.exe

You can rip subtitles directly from DVD but i always prefer to do Part 1 first as mentioned above and use extracted SUB file.

- Select 'Open VOB(s)' from File menu.

- Click on 'Open Dir' button, and select extracted SUB file. (now if u don't want to follow Part 1 then you can browse to DVD VIDEO_TS folder and select *.vob files which contains movie)

- Click on 'Start' button and it will start the process of extracting.

- Now enter the character(s) highlighted in given box and click OK(hit return key)

Now I'll give you few tips here which will be useful for you

Tip 1: Change Text Color - Believe me this will be very useful with our bollywood DVD, specially old ones. As it says on top, uncheck all the background and outline color.

Tip 2: Enter Manually - this will be usefull sometimes with character like %

Tip 3: Skip Subpicture - if u cant find character on keyboard or its not requered then this will be helpfull specially with with logo like 'yashraj films' 'adlabs'.

- when u finish with all texts, select from menu 'Correction' > 'Post OCR Spelling Correction'

Click here to see a large version

- As it shows on window, it just tries to correct few errors. Now just click on 'Correct'

- Go to menu 'File' > 'Save As'
- Click on 'Save' button and save SRT file.
