Guide: How To Make a Sample

Making a sample from a Avi / Mpeg 1 / Mpeg 2 source

Required Software : Virtual Dub

Download Virtual Dub from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/v...6.zip?download

Step 1
Unpack the zip & open VirtualDub.exe

Step 2
Go to File -> Open Video File
Note: The Virtual Dub u downloaded does not support Mpeg 2 .. For mpeg 2 download this

Step 3

Take the pointer (Encircled in black) to the desired frame (time) from which u want to make a sample .. & then click the button encircled in red in the picture

Step 4

Now Drag The pointer the the desired time / frame you want the sample to end & then press The button encircled in Red in the picture

Step 5

Go to the Video Drop down menu & select Direct Stream Copy

Step 6
Go to File -> Save as AVI ( put the name & the location u wanna save )

U r done ..

PS: For VOB Files ( DVD Video ) .. Use Vob Splitter


INSTALL PROPER CODECS
